UEFA Club coefficients

The UEFA Club Rankings are based on each club's performance in the Champions League and Europa League. The performance of the team in European tournaments in the last 5 seasons is taken into account.

The Club Rating is used to form the seeding of teams during the draws of various rounds of competitions held under the auspices of UEFA. Thus, clubs that have performed well in recent seasons most often overlap in the later stages of tournaments, and teams with less modest achievements have to prove their worth through matches with serious opponents.

UEFA Ranking Rules:

From the 2012/2013 season, points are awarded to the UEFA Coefficients Table according to the following principle:

- for a victory in the qualifying rounds, teams bring 1 point to the country's piggy bank, for a draw - 0.5 points.
- a victory in the main rounds of the competition brings 2 points, a draw - 1 point.
- getting a team into the group stage of the Champions League brings 4 points.
- reaching the 1/8 Champions League is another 5 bonus points.
- for reaching the 1/4, 1/2 and the finals of the Champions League and the UEL, the teams receive 1 bonus point each.

Winning in the final does not bring any additional points.

Also, only those matches are taken into account, the fate of which was decided on the football field, i.е. matches in which one of the teams is credited with a forfeit defeat, rating is not affected. Matches, the fate of which is decided in the penalty shoot-out, are considered taking into account the result of regular and extra time.

To calculate the country's rating, all the points scored by the teams are summed up and divided by the number of participants from this association.

The team ranking consists of the sum of all points scored during the season (including bonus points, but EXCLUDING points scored in the qualifying rounds) and 20% of the association coefficient. That. the team may not win a single match, but will receive 20% of the rating only for reaching European competitions, earned by other teams in this country.

The place in the UEFA Coefficients Table is determined by the amount scored by the teams in the last 5 seasons.
